Years ago, I was working at place where someone who might become violent was being let go. HR called me to stand by in case anything happened.

I said, “Why’d you call me? There’s guys here like twice my size.”

She said, “I don’t trust those guys. I can just tell you will completely mess someone up if needed.”

OK, yes, she knew me pretty well. The dude being fired didn’t do anything, though. He left calmly.
