Aliens among us

Whatโ€™s strange about this presidential race is that nearly no mainstream pundit, journalist or writer understand Sanders, Trump or their supporters so nearly everything you read about this topic is bizarrely inaccurate โ€” like a space alien writing about American burial customs.

โ€œXyzgxian scientists theorize that humans place a protective layer of black sheathing around their pseudo-carapaces during funereal ceremonial observances because their exothermic output decreases as a physiological response to loss of a co-resource provider. Since human funerals are held in the view of an M-class stellar body, black external sheathing increases heat abortion allowing the humans to regulate their body temperatures in this physiologically hostile environment.โ€

This is what the NYT and others writing about Trump, Sanders and supporters sounds like to me.

I knew almost all pundits are utterly clueless about all but themselves and their upper-class friends and contacts, but damn. I had no idea it was as bad as it is.

  1. โ€œXyzgxian scientists are shocked and puzzled by the discovery of humans who use white sheathing around their pseudo-carapaces during funereal observances. “These humans appear to have the same physiology. I would theorize the carbon matter burning would compensate for the inferior heat absorption but the energy generated is not nearly enough to compensate. More study is needed, ” head scientist Zxg-Throck Vzz said, clicking pincers nervously.

Maybe they’re not understanding it because their jobs depend on not understanding why Sanders or Trump appeals? I suspect many Sanders and Trump supporters are essentially inchoate about their motivations and it’s not attributable to education levels. More education just produces more word salad and better rationalizations.

    • Yours is funny. I like it.

I think it’s perhaps subconscious, that by pretending not to understand — and convincing themselves that they don’t — they can somehow obviate the major changes to the world and to their position that are now almost inevitably “baked in.”

Self-delusion combined with too high self-regard. And of course many of them aren’t actually very smart, but got into the positions they’re in because of who their parents were and how much money they had.
