The Universe Has Made Almost All the Stars It Will Ever Make.
This headline is 100% false, and the article is largely wrong. Weโre only a small fraction of the way through the stelliferious era (about 3% if I remember right), so the universe will make lots, lots more stars. I donโt know the exact number, but itโs far more than this article claims.
The absolute number of stars extant at any one time and the stellar masses of them will not be much greater than now, but there is just loads more star formation in the future of the universe.
