this is an old and hallowed humanitarian studies lament, but good god almighty i wish half the breathless emphasis was put on teaching world history that some stem subjects get

Teaching STEM doesn’t teach people to think, just do equations and be “productive.” Teaching history in a critical and intensive way would lead people to thought, and for capitalism that would be a very bad thing indeed.
