Dev Beau

That is true in immature men, and itโ€™s why incel-dom (in all its variants) isnโ€™t really about sex.

And I can understand the power of that! When I was 17, I went to a school dance with a very beautiful friend of mine Iโ€™ve written about previously. More than one dance, but that first one is where I saw how much more respect I got even being with a beautiful girl โ€” from both men and even more so, women. Even teachers treated me better after that! This doesnโ€™t just end in high school, by the way. I was happy to go with her (her idea), but I had no clue that people would treat me so much better after until it actually happened. Literally I just walked into the auditorium with a beautiful girl, everyone saw, and I was treated twice as well ever after. Who wouldnโ€™t want that, even if itโ€™s not really fair to anyone, including the woman?

The incel fantasy is really about being with a devastatingly beautiful and charming woman that everyone knows youโ€™re with. And the reason is because you do get treated better after that. Donโ€™t want it to be true, whatever. It still is.
