Ok, I’ve read enough about Omicron now to make a 70% prediction: Somewhat more transmissible, less severe, does not escape vaccines to any real extent, symptoms don’t last as long.

My belief is it gained transmissibility by sacrificing some ACE2 binding capability…but time will tell.
