LEA – Leiser (Songpoeten Session)
There is always time for more Lea. But why only really tight shots? They only have a 400mm in a small space? I already know what Lea looks like; I want to see a bit more. It’s a stylistic choice, sure, but not a good one.

I’d forgotten how awesome Leelee Sobieski’s acting is in this scene — how natural and how realistically intense. I wonder how many takes that got. She’s excellent throughout, but in the first minute of that scene she really demonstrates the difference between amateurs and professionals.
That was the era of overwrought and overly loud orchestral scores in films, but even with that, what a performance. She was either 15 or 16 when that was lensed. Crazy how talented some people are so young.
I don’t care what anyone says (or what the “official” numbers claim), food prices are up 2-3x since the start of the pandemic.
