Does anyone else find it strange that women (speaking very generally here) insist they are masters of communication and have high empathy, but most of what men see of them is that they are terrible at actually communicating — relying on opaque and/or invisible hints and desiring mind-reading — and have very little empathy for men?

A protective self-image is often very different from the reality on the ground.
